We have all heard of stealing hearts, winning hearts or having a broken heart, but how much do we really know about the human heart within our bodies? Students will experience an in-depth study of the workings of the heart, the chambers, arteries, veins, blood components and flow, and much more. The instructor will lead a dissection of an animal heart. Students will be able to understand and participate in a virtual heart transplant by the end of class.

Caution: This class may not be suitable for those students easily upset by the sight of blood or organ material.
