Senior Vice President: Dr. Stanley Chase

Dr. Stanley Chase is the Senior Vice President for Advancement, External and Government Affairs Division at Michigan’s 3rd largest community college, Lansing Community College (LCC).

Dr. Chase joined LCC in 1997. During his tenure at Lansing Community College Dr. Chase has held many positions including Director of Education Initiatives, Director of Student Services-West, Assistant Dean and Director of Student Judicial Affairs.  Prior to his employment with LCC, Chase was a faculty member at Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and provided independent consulting services through his business, Chase Consulting Corporation. He also served as a K-12 superintendent, elementary school principal and elementary school teacher.

Dr. Chase earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Bowie State University in Maryland and a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Michigan State University. He also received his Ph.D. in Educational Administration from Michigan State University in 2004.

Dr. Chase has received many honors and awards, among them his inclusion in "Who’s Who in Black America" on two occasions. He has presented before the American Association of Community Colleges, League for Innovation, American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development, and Michigan Community College Student Services Association.
