This degree program prepares an individual for a career as a law enforcement
officer. It also prepares the individual for possible entry to the Police
Academy Program. Not all courses in this program transfer to all colleges.
Students planning to transfer should see an academic advisor or counselor
before enrolling in any course.

Students should see Course Descriptions or Course Offerings for course
prerequisite information. See the Assessment and Placement Testing section
for skills assessment and advising information.
GENERAL EDUCATION
General education is an important part of this program and includes a
mathematics competency requirement. To fulfill the mathematics competency
requirement, students may need to complete specific course work in
mathematics. See the General Education Core Requirements section for
information on how to fulfill these requirements.

be on-line by Fall 2002. (It is not planned that Police Academy courses
will become a virtual offering.)
