Fire Science Academy
Certificate of Completion

Curriculum Code: 0709  (Effective Fall 2002 - Summer 2003)

The Regional Fire Training Center provides the Fire Academy Certificate
Program to prepare individuals in basic fire training and fitness.  Successful
completion leads to certification by the Michigan Fire Fighting Training
Council for Fire Fighter I and II, Hazardous Materials Awareness, and
Hazardous Materials Operations.

The Fire Science Academy is a selective admission program.  In order to be
considered as a candidate for this program, students must meet basic admission
requirements beyond those required for admission to the college.  Many of the
courses for this program are open only to students officially admitted to the
Fire Science Academy Program.

academic year.  The program requirements below apply only to those students
who have been admitted to the program for the 2002/2003 academic year.  For
