This program consists of practical hands-on courses that provide students with
the basic business knowledge and skills necessary to start a small business.

1. It is recommended that BUSN 191 be taken during the last semester of this
certificate program. This capstone experience will result in a completed
business plan.
2. Students may also choose up to 4 credits from the T.I.M.E. Series (MGMT
240 through MGMT 279) to fulfill this requirement.

possible to plan this program. Students should see course descriptions to find
out when departments plan to offer courses. Students who for any reason are
unable to follow the course sequence suggested below (for example, those who are
part-time, have transferred in courses from another school, or have prerequisites
