Medical Transcriptionist
Certificate of Achievement
Curriculum Code: 0968 (Effective Fall 2002 - Summer 2007)
This certificate program includes key courses that will prepare a student for
employment as a medical transcriptionist. The medical transcriptionist is a
multi-skilled professional and can choose from a variety of employment
opportunities including hospitals, clinics, insurance companies, managed care
organizations, medical transcription services, and home office settings. All
course work may be applied toward the associate degree.

and Windows experience. This experience may come from life or work
experience, CABS 100 seminars, CABS 101, or CABS 195.
2. Students must complete all courses with a grade of 2.0 or higher to
receive this certificate of achievement.
