Teacher Paraprofessional
Certificate of Completion
Curriculum Code: 0829 (Effective Fall 2003 - Summer 2008)
The certificate offers a foundation in educational concepts and a practical
introduction to classroom management and content-area instruction. It is
intended for students who may have already met federal requirements for teacher
paraprofessionals by completing 60 college credits or an associate degree in a
field other than education. It is also recommended as preparation for students
who plan to take the state-approved exam for paraprofessionals. Courses in this
certificate may also be applied toward an associate degree or transfer program
leading to teacher certification.
