Phlebotomy Technician

Curriculum Code: 1010 (Effective Fall 2003 - Summer 2004)
This certificate curriculum is designed to prepare a person to function as a
phlebotomy technician. It will provide the knowledge and skill necessary to
safely and skillfully obtain a blood specimen from a patient. A phlebotomist may
work in a variety of settings such as hospitals, outpatient labs, physicians'
offices, or clinics; or may travel to different locations such as convalescent
hospitals.
