Medical Office Administration

Curriculum Code: 1051 (Effective Fall 2003 - Summer 2008)
The Medical Office Administration Program prepares students to work as a member
of administrative support staff in hospitals, medical centers, medical clinics,
insurance companies, managed care organizations, and other private and public
sector healthcare settings. The Certificate of Completion provides the basic
course work in this program and prepares students for entry-level employment in
this field. All course work in this certificate will apply toward completion of
the Medical Office Administration Certificate of Achievement and Associate in
Business Degree.

1. It is recommended that students entering this curriculum have keyboarding
and Windows experience. This experience may come from life or work
experience, CABS 100 Seminars, CABS 101, CABS 104, CABS 106, or CABS 195.
