Fine Art Foundation |
Associate in Applied Arts Degree |
Curriculum Code: 0271 (Effective Fall 2004 - Summer 2009) |
This curriculum is designed for artists who wish to expand their
creative horizons or refine their artistic style. The emphasis
is on the exploration of an artist's abilities through the use
of traditional materials and techniques. Painting, drawing,
printmaking, and watercolor are fine arts. A career in fine
arts requires dedication, discipline, and sacrifice. Success
can come slowly in this visual art, and most artists do their
best work after years of experience. Fine artists are
self-employed professionals who sell their work through artist's
representatives, galleries, art fairs, and juried exhibitions.
Not all courses in this program transfer to all colleges.
Students planning to transfer should see an academic advisor or
counselor before enrolling in any course. |
