Printing access for new students

In order to print from a computer on campus you must be logged on to that computer using your own Username. Click here for instructions to set up your Username 

How to Print a Document

The first time you log on to a computer on campus, a message will inform you about a printing account that is ready for you to use. Once you have printed something out, a coin icon will show up on the right corner of the task bar. You can check there anytime to view your print credit balance.

How to add print credits

Print credits are bought in multiples of $1 which will purchase 20 black and white prints as they cost $0.05 per page. A color print costs $1.00 per page.

To buy print credits at LCCs Mall in multiples of $1 please do the following:

  1. Select this link to purchase Print Credits.
  2. Select the quantity you want to buy.
    • Remember ordering a quantity of 1 for $1 will let you make 20 black and white prints.
  3. Go to the LCC Mall either by typing www.lcc.edu/mall into the address bar or you may use this link  LCC Mall.
  4. From the "Select a Store" drop box in the upper left, choose student print credits.

  5. Click on the print credits link.

  6. Enter number of printouts you wish to purchase and click "add to cart".

  7. Enter the CAPTCHA code.
  8. Select Continue.
  9. View your shopping cart, and select Checkout.
  10. Enter your email address and select Continue Unregistered.
  11. Enter your credit card information, and select Continue.
  12. Enter your Username.
  13. Select Review Order.
  14. Review your order.  Please note that no returns are accepted.  Select Submit Order.

The next screen will display your receipt, and order number. Orders will be fulfilled within 15 minutes during LCC Help Desk, and Computer Labs normal business hours.

Printing Problems

The most common reason why users can't print is because they are not logged on to the network.

  • You must be logged on to the network with your Username in order to print. The generic Techid does not have printing capabilities. If you have not set up your Username yet, click here for instructions to set up your Username.

  • Usually restarting your computer and re logging into the network will  fix your printing problem.

  • However if no one is able to print to a certain printer.  it may be necessary to turn the printer off and back on before restarting your computer.
