High School Based Programs

Dual Enrollment
This program is designed to provide an opportunity for
qualified high school students to earn college credit. High school credit may or
may not be granted according to the discretion of the participating high school.

The Early College @ LCC
The Early College will provide mid-Michigan high school
students the opportunity to earn up to two years of college credit or an
associate degree - over the course of three years - as a part of their high
school learning experience.

High School Diploma Completion Initiative
The academic programs at HSDCI are designed for high school students who have
disconnected from school and wish to complete their high school diploma and
begin their college education and career training.

High School Articulation
Articulation is a term used to describe the process that
facilitates the transition of a student from one educational institution to
another or from one level of education to the next with minimal duplication of
coursework. we refer to this as Free College Credit.

H.O.P.E. Scholarship
The H.O.P.E. Scholarship Program offers Lansing School District youth an
opportunity for a college education and a brighter future. Students are
initiated into the program as sixth graders and promise to finish high school in
exchange for two years of free tuition at Lansing Community College.

Technical Preparation
Tech-Prep is a program that provides assistance to states to award grants to
consortia of local education agencies and postsecondary education institutions
for the development and operation of programs consisting of the last two years
of secondary education.
