Embedding Videos

Films on Demand provide streaming educational videos that you can embed in Desire2Learn.

It is easier to embed videos from Films on Demand in D2L if you have two windows or tabs open.

In a first window/tab:

  1. Go to Films on Demand.
  2. Locate the film (or film segment) that you want to embed in your Desire2Learn course.
  3. Click on the title of the film.
  4. Click on the link Embed below the video player.
  5. Copy the complete Embed Code (Best for LMS).

In the second window/tab:

  1. Log in to Desire2Learn.
  2. Click on Content.
  3. Select the Module you want to object to appear in or create a new Module.
  4. Select New and then Create a File.
  5. Enter a Title. Desire2Learn does not accept long titles, so enter just the first part of the title before the colon.
  6. Select the Insert Stuff button.

  1. On the Insert Stuff screen, select Enter Embed Code from the menu on the left.
  2. Then paste the copied Embed Code into the Embed Code window.
  3. Click Next. On the next screen click on Insert.
  4. Publish the document.

Trouble Viewing Videos in D2L
