Enabling Cookies

To access library research databases or subscription e-books from
off-campus, cookies must be enabled on your browser.
Mozilla FireFox 4
Firefox defaults to accept all cookies. To check cookie settings:
- Click on Tools.
- Click on Options.
- Click on Privacy.
- Use the dropdown menu next to "Set Firefox will" to select "Use custom settings for history."
- Make sure the box next to "Accept cookies from sites" is checked.
- Click on OK.
Mozilla FireFox 2.x and 3.x
Firefox defaults to accept all cookies. To check cookie settings:
- Click on Tools.
- Click on Options.
- Click on Privacy.
- Make sure that "Accept cookies from sites" is selected.
- Click on OK.

Internet Explorer 8.x
- Click on the Tools-menu.
- Select Internet Options in the menu - a new window opens.
- Click on the Privacy tab near the top of the window.
- Click on the Default button of the window.
- Move the slider so that it is on one of the levels below Medium
High (including Medium, Low, Accept All Cookies).
- Save changes by clicking OK.

- Select Tools.
- Select Internet Options.
- Select the Privacy tab.
- Move the slider to Low or Medium.
- Click on OK.

- Click on Tools.
- Select Internet Options.
- Click on the Privacy tab.
- Move the slider until "Accept all cookies" displays.
- Click on OK.

Apple Safari
- Click on the Safari-menu in Safari.
- Click on the Preferences... item in
the menu - a new window opens.
- Click on the Security icon near the
top of the window.
- Under Accept Cookies the
Always or Only from sites you navigate to
must be selected.
- Save changes by clicking OK.
- You should be able to add items to your shopping cart now.
