The complete
electronic text of an article is called the full text. Some
databases, like General OneFile and CQ Researcher,
provide entire articles online. The Library's title list of
databases has descriptions that indicate whether a database includes
full text or some full text.
Do online
research databases that provide full text also include images that
were published in the article's paper format?
Yes, there
are databases—General OneFile, for
example—that provide full content. Full content
includes the article plus any graphs, charts, pictures and text.
If the database vendor does not have the right to reproduce images
with the full text, you will see a statement like "the photograph of
dna cells is omitted." |
