iPads
The library has 12 Apple iPad 4 tablets to check out to LCC students, faculty and staff to experience and explore touch screen based digital content.
Who can check out an iPad?
Current Lansing Community College students, faculty and staff may check out an iPad.
How long can I keep the iPad?
iPads are available for 28 day checkout with no renewals.
What if I want to purchase content?
In order to comply with the LCC Acceptable Use Policy, patrons cannot purchase content for the iPads. You may request apps by filling out this form.
Where do I return the iPad?
Please return the iPad to the Checkout Desk on the 2nd floor of the TLC building during library hours.
Do not return the iPad to either of the library drop boxes, as doing so can damage the iPad and will result in a fine of $15.00 being placed on your library account.
What happens if I bring the iPad back late?
There is a $10.00 per day charge if you bring the iPad back late.
What happens if I lose the iPad?
If the Kindle is damaged or lost the following rates apply:
- iPad 4th generation, 16 GB (incl. cover): $550.00
- Returned to drop box: $15.00
- iPad Cover: $50.00
- USB-to-Lightning Cord: $20.00
- Power Supply: $20.00
Additionally, a hold will be placed on your record prohibiting you from borrowing library materials. Students will be prohibited from receiving grades, transcripts or registering for classes until the fees are paid.
