Gifted and Talented Education (GATE)
The Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program is available for 5 consecutive Saturdays in the spring and fall. We offer both morning and afternoon classes for students in grades 2 through 8. An all-day option is available with lunch time supervision for a nominal fee. There may be GATE designated classes offered throughout the summer as part of the A+ Summer Youth Program schedule.
Classes in the Science, Math, Technology and the Arts are taught by highly qualified instructors who have a passion for the subject matter and are experienced in teaching younger students. Detailed study allows students to delve into subjects for a higher degree of understanding. A maximum of hands-on experience for students is a hallmark of GATE classes.
Five fun filled weeks of hands-on learning in the arts and humanities, technology, science and math. Students entering grades 2-8 in the fall of 2013 can experience the life of a pirate, photography, mythology, drawing, acting, writing and many other fields of interest.
SERIOUS FUN that chases summer boredom away and keeps young minds stimulated.
