How do I reserve equipment?

Reservations can be made by sending an AV Services Reservation form to Mail Code 1520, stopping by our office (TLC 021), or calling us at (517) 483-1670.

How much advance notice is required?

To facilitate the scheduling and delivery of equipment, a reservation must be made at least 24 hours before the equipment is needed. When unforeseen circumstances make 24 hours advance notice impossible, AV Services employees try to facilitate the request if the equipment is available. However, in such instances it may require the requester to pick-up and return the equipment.

What if I need equipment at West Campus?

AV Services has a distribution center at West Campus (WC U219) that will handle all of your AV needs. The staff at the center can be contacted by calling (517) 483-1954.

How will I know if my request is confirmed?

Depending on the amount of advance notice you give, you should receive a email confirmation of your reservation. This will indicate that AV Services received the form and will inform you as to the availability of the item(s) requested.

What should I do if the equipment I have malfunctions?

Call our office at (517) 483-1715 (Main Campus) or (517) 483-1954 (West Campus) and an AV Services employee will be dispatched within 10 minutes to correct the problem.

What if I need equipment when AV Services is closed (i.e., weekends, breaks, etc.)?

A reservation for the use of AV equipment on the weekend and during breaks should be placed in the same way as all other equipment reservations. Equipment and related items should be reserved by submitting an AV Services Reservation form. (NOTE: A minimum of 24 hours advance notice is requested, and depending on what your needs are, more time may be necessary to ensure that your requested item(s) will be available.
