Fire Science Academy
The Regional Fire Training Center provides the Fire Academy Certificate Program to prepare individuals in basic fire training and fitness. Successful completion leads to certification by the Michigan Fire Fighting Training Council for Fire Fighter I and II, Hazardous Materials Awareness, and Hazardous Materials Operations.
The Fire Science Academy requires departmental approval. In order to be considered as a candidate for this program, students must meet basic admission requirements beyond those required for admission to the college.
