Fire Science Academy
The Regional Fire Training Center provides the Fire Academy Certificate Program to prepare individuals in basic fire training and fitness. Successful completion leads to certification by the Michigan Fire Fighting Training Council for Fire Fighter I and II, Hazardous Materials Awareness, and Hazardous Materials Operations.
The Fire Science Academy requires departmental approval. In order to be considered as a candidate for this program, students must meet basic admission requirements beyond those required for admission to the college.
All new students to LCC are required to complete orientation prior to
registering for courses. Orientation is free and can be completed
on-line or in person. For more information, including frequently

Applications are being accepted for the Fall 2013 Fire Academy. The deadline to submit applications is Friday, July 12, 2013.
To submit an Application for acceptance to the Fire Academy please print the application and follow the submission procedures outlined in the packet.
