A Q&A with Big Band Swing's Jim Stone

Jim Stone Big Band SwingLCC Radio's Coffee Break host Karen Love recently rattled the brain of fellow radio host Jim Stone from Big Band Swing. BBS is a two-hour long weekly radio program that takes it’s listeners back in time. To a time when the songs of Glenn Miller, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald echoed across the nation. How long have you been doing Big Band Swing?

Well, officially I took over a show called “Big Band Saturday Night” in 1986. This show evolved into Big Band Swing a few years later.

Grand Ledge Music in the Park is back!!!

Grand Ledge Music in the Park 2014LCC Radio will be joining forces once again with the Grand Ledge Downtown Development Authority to bring you a summer full of FREE live music from local artists and performers across Michigan. This year's concert series is a full three months from June 5 - August 28 and features the return of crowd favorites like Global Village, Three Men & a Tenor and The Beatles tribute band Toppermost! A number of artists like Brian Lorente, Soulstice, and Those Delta Rhythm Kings will be making there first appearance on the Music in the Park stage and an acoustic act will be opening every show including Rob Klada, Taylor Fernandez, and Wally Pleasant.
