This course provides students with worksite experience and training that is both physician office and hospital based. This experience will re-enforce skills learned in CHSE 123, 124, and 125 and prepare students for an entry-level position in the medical billing and coding field. This externship experience introduces the student to the skills necessary to perform the function of a pharmacy technician relative to prescription review, an introduction to prescription software, label preparation, and product selection during a hands-on activity in a live pharmacy environment.
