Lansing Community College Star Scholarship

The LCC Star Scholarship is being offered for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Recipients must:

  • Be a 2012 high school graduate from the Bath, Dansville, DeWitt, East Lansing, Grand Ledge, Haslett, Holt/Dimondale, Lansing, Leslie, Mason, Okemos, Stockbridge, Waverly, Webberville or Williamston K-12 Public School District.

  • Have a cumulative high school grade point average of at least 3.0

  • Be college ready as determined by LCC Placement through either LCC Placement Test or ACT Scores.

Application deadline is April 2, 2012.

General Awards and Scholarships

LCC is committed to providing you with access to resources which can assist in paying for your education. As part of meeting that commitment, we award hundreds of institutionally-funded scholarships to our students every year. We're glad that you have chosen to study at Lansing Community College. We encourage you to look over the awards and scholarships below and to apply for the one which seems to be the best fit for you.

Honors Program Awards

Each year, up to 36 awards are offered to new students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and plan to complete a two-year transfer curriculum at LCC and then transfer to a four-year institution to pursue a bachelor's degree.

Occupational Program Awards

Each year, up to 49 awards are offered to students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and plan to complete a one-year certificate of completion or a two-year occupational degree at LCC.

Board of Trustees Awards

One award is offered annually to one graduating senior in each high school within the college district.

Student Leadership Academy Service Scholarships

Each year, up to 23 awards are offered to students who are interested in gaining additional leadership and community service experience through a two-year leadership curriculum while concurrently following a primary college program of study.

Study Abroad Scholarships

Lansing Community College offers up to 10 scholarships annually for LCC students to help pay for approved study abroad programs.

Women's Resource Center Awards

Scholarships and grants are offered for tuition, fees, textbooks, transportation, and child care.
