Students entering the 4th and 6th grades in the 2013 - 2014 school year and who meet the criteria set for this accelerated science and math program |

An involved study of Physics, Chemistry, Ecology, Biology, Math and Computer Science |

Why: |
Keeping students academically stimulated during the long summer months concerns many parents. The Science and Math Challenges for high ability students is a hands- on high participation exposure to the studies in Forensic Chemistry, Environmental Biology, Geology of Michigan and Mathematical strategies and reasoning necessary to aide your student in today's competitive academic environment. Along with the completed application, teacher recommendation and the most recent report card, include a check or money order payable in Lansing Community College in the amount of $299. All academic supplies and lunch time supervision is included. Students will need to bring a sack lunch and healthy snacks daily. Send your students back to school for a new academic year with an exciting educational experience that will stimulate their desire to learn and chase away "summer brain fog"! |
** In case of high enrollment, 6th grade students will be given priority.

Note: checks will not be deposited until application decisions have been made. Should your child not be accepted, all application materials, including the check, will be returned to you
Science and Math Challenges Check List
- A completed Teacher Evaluation Form
- A copy of your most recent Report Card
- Registration fee of $299.00 in the form of a check made payable to Lansing Community College
