Refund Information

Refunds are automatically generated for those students who have a credit (negative) balance on their student account. Refunds are issued to students for a variety of reasons including disbursement of financial aid, dropped courses, and/or when out-of-pocket payments exceed the cost of a student's tuition and fees.

It is important to always ensure that your mailing address on file with LCC is up-to-date to receive your LCC debit card and refund checks.

Refund Process

All LCC refunds are issued electronically via Higher One Bank, for students age 18* and over. With Higher One, students can choose between the following refund preferences.**

  1. Activate your LCC debit card and access your refunds from a Higher One checking account.
    • With this option, you can use your LCC debit card to withdraw cash from Higher One ATMs on campus, or as a MasterCard transaction.
  2. Set up Direct Deposit into an existing bank account of your choice.

Note: To set up either of the options above will require you to enter the card number on your LCC debit card that was issued to you. You will do so on the following website: www.lansingccdebitcard.com.
