Join us Friday, March 31, 2017 at the LCC West Campus for the Lansing Community College 50th Annual Student Recognition Celebration.
5:30pm – 6:00pm: Dinner Buffet
6:00pm – 8:00pm: Awards Celebration
2017 Lansing Community College Awards Nomination Process
We are pleased that you would like to nominate your student or student organization for a college award! Please note the following:
- Each award winner and nominator will be registered for the event. Winners may invite up to (2) guests.
- Award nominations are due on Friday, March 3 by 4:00 pm.
- Award nominations will be reviewed by the selection committee and nominators will be notified by Wednesday, March 8.
Award nomination criteria:
Michigan Campus Compact Heart and Soul Award (no
Nominated students must complete a minimum of 25 documented, non-required service hours per semester that they are enrolled on your campus. Non-required hours can be independent service in the community, or time that goes above and beyond what is required for a class or campus organization. Mandatory service hours do not count toward the 25 hour minimum.
LCC Emerging Student Leader Award (2 awards)
Nominated students must have shown exemplary leadership qualities over the last academic year through student organizations, service, scholarship or commitment to the advancement of the mission and goals of Lansing Community College.
LCC Community Collaboration Award (2 awards)
Nominated students or student organizations must have demonstrated outstanding community collaborative initiatives through support for programming, financial assistance, or people power. Activities which support consensus building and community building will be considered. (Awarded to students or student organizations)
College awards will be based on the strength of the award eligibility statement and chosen by a college awards selection committee.
2017 Lansing Community College Individual Student or Student Organization Award Process
We are pleased that you would like to present an award to your student or student organization! Please note the following:
- Each presenter (or designee) must be in attendance at the event to give their award to the student or student organization.
- Students may invite up to (2) guests.
- Award presentation submissions are due on Friday, March 3rd by 4:00 pm.
Presenters are responsible for creating their own awards. Student Life will supply blank certificates if requested.
