The Student Volunteer Center nurtures, promotes and instills the spirit of servant leadership by promoting volunteer opportunities for students, faculty, staff and the community. As part of our partnership with the Capital Area United Way, we will be promoting all LCC volunteer events and opportunities through their website.

Specific Opportunities

#24 - Impression 5 Museum at 200 Museum Drive in Lansing is undergoing major renovations, a part of which will be called "Innovation 5." The staff is looking for enthusiastic, team-oriented students who are capable of working independently. Workers should also be organized and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Students must commit an average of five hours per week and be able to attend a team meeting once a week. They must be enrolled in a community or a four-year college. #23 - Capital Area Humane Society is seeking volunteers to help give homeless pets a second chance at life. A variety of opportunities are available to fit the skills and abilities of nearly any pet lover. CAHS asks all volunteers to volunteer during open business hours: Monday through Friday from noon to 7 p.m., Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.. Sunday hours are only during the summer. Volunteer orientations are held on the third Saturday of each month. #22 - Junior Achievement of Mid-Michigan at 600 W. St. Joseph St., Suite 2G, is seeking classroom volunteers for financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work readiness for children in grades K-12 in greater Lansing.
