NOTES:
1. This transfer guide represents an Articulation (partnership) Agreement
   between Lansing Community College (LCC) and Central Michigan University 
   (CMU) that facilitates the transfer of LCC students to the CMU Bachelor of 
   Science in Education - Secondary Education Emphasis program. Students are 
   required to complete a minimum of 60 credits at CMU toward their degree. 
   This articulated agreement does not have a specified expiration date.
2. Admission to the CMU College of Education is a two-step process:  students
   must first apply for admission to CMU, and then apply for admission to the
   Teacher Education Program.
3. A program that facilitates early admission into Teacher Education at CMU
   is available. Visit LCC Teacher Preparation for additional information.

5. Requirements for admission to Teacher Education at CMU:
   a. Minimum GPA of 2.70 or higher calculated at the time of admission;
   b. Completions of EDUC 201 with a minimum grade of 3.0;
   c. Completion of WRIT 121 with a grade of 3.0 or better; and a 2.0 or better
      in WRIT/ENGL 122.
   d. Completion of MATH 112 and SPCH 130 with a grade of 2.0 or better; 
   e. Completion of EDUC 228 with a minimum grade of 2.3 grade required for 
      degree.
   f. Passing scores of all three sections (Reading-Math-Writing) of the 
      Michigan Basic Skills Test (#96). Recommended prior to transfer and 
      required by the Michigan Department of Education. Registration at
      www.mttc.nesinc.com. Fee for this commercial test. Request that scores be 
      sent to CMU.  
6. Students may waive EDUC 220 by completing 45 hours of pre-professional 
   experience according to guidelines established by the CMU Department of 
   Teacher Education and Professional Development. The 45 hour Pre-Professional
   Observation Form is available on CMU's website at 
   http://www.ehs.cmich.edu/css/Admission/formstblofcontents.htm. 
7. Elective courses include additional courses for the Associate Degree that 
   would be applicable to the anticipated major and/or minor at CMU.  
8. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduation
   requirements. See the LCC online catalog for details.
9. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and 
   writing.  To determine accurate course placement, students should take the 
   Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GB 200) prior
