NOTES:
1.  This transfer guide represents an Articulation (partnership) Agreement
    between Lansing Community College (LCC) and Central Michigan University (CMU)
    Off Campus Programs (Lansing Site). This articulated agreement does not have 
    a specified expiration date. 
2.  This agreement facilitates the transfer of LCC students pursuing an AAS 
    degree in Fire Science Technology (with any of the three sub-choices in CHOICE
    4) to the CMU degree - B.S. Community Development with Concentration in Public
    Administration.
3.  See the LCC General Education Core Area/MACRAO Crosswalk for appropriate LCC 
    course selection.
4.  Students may transfer up to 64 credits with a required GPA of 2.0 or better.
5.  This course does not receive direct transfer credit. The student must submit 
    Tab V of the Prior Learning Portfolio for each course designated by this 
    note. Upon receipt of the Prior Learning award the student will be required
    to pay a reduced fee of $35.00 per credit hour. For additional information

6.  MATH 112, 117 or higher must be taken to meet CMU's mathematics competency 
    requirement.
7.  Students may substitute with WRIT 131.
8.  This option includes the LCC Fire Academy which is a selective admission 
    program. Students must meet admission requirements beyond those required for
    admission to LCC. Students with Michigan Fire Fighter I or I and II 
    certification may be eligible for credit equivalent to FIRE 101 and/or FIRE 
    102.  Students should consult with the LCC Fire Science program advisor 
    regarding this subchoice.
9.  Student must be 18 years of age or older, a member of an organized 
    fire department, completed 3 years in the fire service, and must have 
    successfully completed specific MI F.F.T.C. courses to be eligible for this 
    subchoice. 
10. Student must have MI F.F.T.C. Fire Fighter I & II Certification to be 
    eligible for this subchoice.  Interested students should consult with the 
    LCC Fire Science Program advisor before beginning this option.   
11. Students may take a limited number of additional transferable credit hours
    from LCC.  It is strongly recommended that the student speak with a CMU 
    academic advisor prior to enrolling in additional courses. Suggested courses 
    that may be taken are: ECON 201,202; MGMT 225; POLS 120,121,201, and 
    WRIT/ENGL 122/132.    
12. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduation
    requirements. See the LCC online catalog for details.
13. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and 
    writing.  To determine accurate course placement, students should take the 
    Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GB 200) prior to
