The following is a guide for students who plan to begin their coursework at 
Lansing Community College and transfer to an undergraduate program at Capella
University.

Founded in 1993, Capella University is an accredited online university that 
built its reputation by providing quality online degree programs for working 
adults.  Capella offers bachelor's degree programs in business, information 
technology, nursing, psychology, public administration and public safety. 
Capella currently offers 136 graduate and undergraduate specializations. More 
than 38,000 learners from all 50 states and 52 other countries are currently 
enrolled.

NOTES:
1. This transfer guide supports the Articulation (partnership) Agreement between
   Lansing Community College (LCC) and Capella University.  This agreement is 
   intended to allow holders of LCC credits to transfer approved credit hours 
   into a Capella University program of study. This articulated agreement does
   not have a specific expiration date. 
2. Students must graduate from LCC with an associate degree in one of the 
   approved fields of study with an overall GPA of 2.0 as calculated by LCC.  
3. All college-level courses meeting Capella University transfer requirements 
   will be evaluated for transfer into Capella University baccalaureate degree 
   programs, up to a maximum of 88 semester hours of academic credit.  
4. Students who have completed the LCC General Education Cores Areas (excluding
   ELTE 121; MATH 112, 115, 117, 118, 119, 201, 202; and METM 190) will be 
   considered to have fulfilled the general education requirements for Capella
   University.
5. To meet the MACRAO Transfer Agreement requirements select a minimum of eight 
   (8) credits from each of the following categories:
   a. Communications: Selection of the ENGL/WRIT course listed above (excluding
      SPCH courses; WRIT 124 & 127) will meet both the LCC Core and MACRAO 
      requirements.
   b. Humanities: Selection from the options listed above will meet both the LCC 
      Core and MACRAO requirements.  
   c. Science/Mathematics: Selection from the options listed above (excluding 
      MATH 253,254,260; CHEM 145; PHYS 200) will meet both the LCC Core and 
      MACRAO requirements.
   d. Social Science: Selection from the options listed above (excluding 
      SIGN 260) will meet both the LCC Core & MACRAO requirements.
6. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduation
   requirements. See the LCC Online Catalog for details.
7. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and 
   writing.  To determine accurate course placement, students should take the 
   Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GB 200) prior to
