Q&A with Lisa...

Why did you choose Lansing Community College?
For financial reason. Location, small campus, great instruction and outstanding support we also factors.

What inspires you?
Getting up every morning. Enjoying the adventures that await me. Each new day something I've never experienced is coming my way. Embrace it.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
The one superpower I would choose would be the ability to fly. Why, because I could travel all around the world and see all the places I've always wanted to see such as the Amazon Jungle, Peru, St. Thomas and Greece.

What famous person would you like to meet and why?
Harper Lee. She wrote, To Kill a Mockingbird." It is one of my favorite books plus I like to know why she refuses interviews.

What do you do for fun? Other than school!
I enjoy reading and going to the movies. I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures.

If you won $3 million, what would you do with the money?
I would pay taxes on it then buy each one of my children a house. I would save money towards my Master Degree. I also would provide scholarships to TRiO students and buy a bus for cultural events. I would end up giving most of it away.

What are you hoping to or have you gained from being part of the TRiO program?
A sense of pride of self-accomplishment. Letting myself be myself.
