Before orientation, you must:

  1. Apply to the college
  2. Activate your account
  3. Establish Placement levels
    • In order for Academic Advisors to assist students with a creating a customized first semester plan of courses, placement levels for reading and writing must be established before registering for orientation.
    • Verify that you have established placement levels by logging into your MyLCC account, clicking the "Profile" tab, and looking under "Placement Test Scores".
  4. Register for the session you will be attending: You will receive a confirmation email after registering. Please check that you have received this and verify the date to confirm that you have successfully registered for the session.

"Students only" sessions:

Due to room capacities, we ask that parents and guests do not attend these orientation sessions. Some dates are designated as guest sessions - parents and guests can attend these. Please know that if a parent or guest attends a regular session, priority will be given to new students. Thank you for understanding!

"Guests welcome" sessions:

Parents, families, and guests are welcome to attend these sessions to support your student. Your student should register for the session below but you do not have to. Please note that your session will be separate from your student and you will be receiving presentations from financial aid, academic advising, student support, public safety, and more!

Students are strongly encouraged to contact LCC's Center for Student Access for accommodations at orientation or in the classroom.

Need to reschedule? Simply sign up for another date. There is no need to notify us.
